GENERAL: Due to increased costs in acquiring replacement equipment and the increased costs of repairing worn and damaged equipment, AYLC was forced to introduce an equipment rental charge starting in the Spring Competitive Season 2007. The Arlington Youth Lacrosse Club needs to maintain sufficient cash flow to insure that we have top quality equipment available. The equipment rental fee will be assessed annually, at the beginning of each Spring Competitive Season. The Equipment Rental Fee for boy's equipment can only be paid with a bank check. No credit cards are acceptable for payment of this fee. WAIVED FEES: 1. In the interest of promoting enthusiasm for the sport of girl's lacrosse, AYLC waives the usual equipment rental fee for girl players who participate in our Spring Competitive Season. 2. Additionally, because of the unusual nature of goalie equipment, AYLC waives the usual Equipment Rental Fee for players who play this position. (Boys or girls.) Those of you who retain boy's equipment from season to season will need to deliver a check made out to AYLC, Inc. or Arlington Youth Lacrosse Club, Inc. Please note on the check that it is payment for the Equipment Rental Fee. This check can be mailed to AYLC, Inc., P.O. Box 5200, Arlington, VA 22205 or can be hand delivered to your Team Manager at a time your Team Manager designates. In any case, the equipment rental fee is due at least one week before the start of regular season play. If you are new to our club and wish to rent boy's equipment, you will need to provide the check for the equipment rental fee at equipment distribution time before any AYLC equipment is issued to you. Bookkeeping restraints require that the boy's equipment rental fee be paid with a SEPARATE CHECK. This rental fee CANNOT be added to an equipment deposit check.
| HOW THE ARLINGTON YOUTH LACROSSE CLUB EQUIPMENT RENTAL CYCLE WORKS:
| SPRING COMPETITIVE SEASON - CLUB MEMBERS / PLAYERS: New AYLC members: When you join AYLC for Spring Competitive Season lacrosse play as a new member, in need of equipment, you will be asked to pay an equipment rental fee. At the end of the Spring Competitive Season, you will be allowed to retain our lacrosse equipment for use during Summer Camps and the Fall Clinic. You will not have to pay the usual rental fee normally required for Summer Camp attendees (non-AYLC members) who use AYLC equipment. Returning AYLC members: AYLC members from the previous Spring Competitive Season currently using AYLC equipment, will be required to pay this rental fee at the start of each Spring Competitive season, as outlined in the opening paragraphs above. Essentially, for Arlington County residents, the equipment rental fee covers a FULL years usage of AYLC's lacrosse equipment.
| SUMMER CAMP PARTICIPANTS: Existing AYLC members (Arlington County residents ONLY.) If you are an AYLC Spring Competitive Season player continuing lacrosse play with us by attending an AYLC sponsored Summer Camp *** at Marymount University, that is, you joined us during the Spring Competitive Season and now wish to attend a Summer Camp, you WILL NOT be asked to pay the boy's equipment rental fee, or the girl's equipment rental fee required of non-AYLC Summer Camp participants. Summer Camp participants (NON-Arlington County residents) When you participate in an AYLC / Marymount University Summer Camp as a new participant, (i.e. you did not participate in AYLC Spring Competitive Season play) you will be asked to pay an equipment rental fee for the use of AYLC's equipment. IMPORTANT: If you ARE NOT an Arlington County resident, but plan to attend our Fall Clinic, you can retain our lacrosse equipment for Fall Clinic use. At the conclusion of the Fall Clinic, the equipment must be returned to AYLC. But If you are NOT an Arlington County resident and at the end of the Summer Camp you do not plan to attend the Fall Clinic you MUST return our equipment because Arlington County Regulations prohibit non-Arlington residents from participating in Spring Competitive Season play with AYLC. (This regulation is formulated by Arlington County, it is NOT AYLC policy.) So, if you do not plan to attend our Fall Clinic, the equipment MUST BE returned to AYLC at the end of the Summer Lacrosse Camp sessions.
| FALL CLINIC PARTICIPANTS: THERE IS NO EQUIPMENT RENTAL FEE REQUIRED FOR EQUIPMENT USAGE DURING OUR FALL CLINIC SESSIONS. AYLC waives the normal boy's equipment rental fee for the fall lacrosse clinic to encourage new interest and participation in the sport of lacrosse. If, at the end of the Fall Clinic, Arlington County residents who wish to retain AYLC's lacrosse equipment for Spring Competitive Season use may do so. Inform AYLC of your intention to retain the equipment prior to the last clinic session by calling 703-524-4529. Retaining the equipment provides the advantage of using it for indoor winter leagues and clinics, and not having to wait in line for equipment distribution at the beginning of the Spring Competitive Season. You will still need to pay the annual boy's equipment rental fee at the beginning of the next Spring Competitive Season. IMPORTANT: If you ARE NOT an Arlington County resident Arlington County Regulations prohibit non-Arlington residents from participating in Spring Competitive Season play with AYLC. (This regulation is formulated by Arlington County, it is NOT AYLC policy.) Therefore, the equipment MUST BE returned at the end of the Fall Clinic sessions.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION - EQUIPMENT USE POLICY AND CONDITIONS. Any deviation from these stated policies will result in the loss of the privilege to use AYLC's equipment and / or in the forfeiture of some or all of your equipment deposit. Any equipment rented or borrowed from the Arlington Youth Lacrosse Club MUST be returned in good, usable condition or you will forfeit all or part of your equipment deposit. You will not be penalized for normal equipment wear and tear.
