REGISTRATION FOR FALL CLINIC 2007 IS CLOSED AS OF MIDNIGHT SEPT. 16th, 2007.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

This notice was posted at 11:00 PM, Sat., Sept. 8, 2007

Because of the number of requests for the use of AYLC's lacrosse equipment, we must CLOSE registration to all persons UNLESS they are willing to provide their own lacrosse equipment for use during the clinic sessions . See the following page on our web site for details on what equipment you will need. http://www.aylc.org/equip.htm

Once again, if you can, and are willing to provide your own lacrosse equipment for use during the clinic sessions, please go ahead and register for the remaining sessions. DO NOT REGISTER IF YOU EXPECT AYLC TO PROVIDE EQUIPMENT!!!!

EXCEPTION: We DO have some equipment that will fit large boys, so if your son is 14 or older we can probably outfit him with equipment to use during the clinic sessions. If your son is big and you are interested in this possibility, inform us at 703-524-4529 that you plan to attend our equipment distribution on Saturday, Sept. 15th, 2007 at 8:00AM. If we can provide suitable equipment for your use at that time, we will issue the equipment and ask you to complete the registration process as per the directions on this page with a reduction in cost for the missed session. Thank you.

We have special 9th to 12th grade sections for novice players wishing to gain skills so they can participate on Arlington County High School lacrosse teams. Remember, ANY youth from 6 to 18 is welcome to join us and learn to play this sport. Our clinic's major focus is on making YOU a better lacrosse player.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION, FORMS AND MAP SOURCES:

  • EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT FORM: Go here for the form: http://www.aylc.org/forms.htm or click HERE.

IMPORTANT! If your child was enrolled as a Spring Competitive season player, and completed an Emergency Medical Treatment form, that form DOES NOT APPLY to Fall Clinic attendance. You MUST fill out a new Emergency Medical Treatment form for the Fall Clinic sessions, and make sure that AYLC receives it.

Please print or type all information on the Emergency Medical Treatment Form legibly. Your child's welfare might depend on our ability to read this information, and its thoroughness and accuracy. Pay careful attention to Sections 11, 12 and 13 in the forthcoming Event Details area of the ACTIVE.COM Online Registration process.

  • REFUNDS will be issued sometime in October, less a $25.00 administrative fee, if AYLC is notified of withdrawal, in writing, prior to September 16th. Send a letter to: (AYLC, Inc., PO Box 5200, Arlington, VA 22205) No refunds permitted thereafter.

  • EQUIPMENT: Each child MUST be present for proper fitting during equipment distribution times. Girls' sticks and goggles available requiring $50.00 security deposit each. Girls must supply mouth guard. Boys' shoulder and arm pads, helmets and gloves are available, requiring $150.00 security deposit. Boys must supply protective cup, stick and mouth guard. Deposit checks refunded upon return of the items in good condition at the end of the last clinic session.
(AYLC sells balls for $2.00, mouth guards for $2.00, girl's goggles for $35.00, and boy's and girl's sticks for $32.00.)
  • IMPORTANT! During the online registration process you will be asked to state what equipment you wish AYLC to provide for your child's participation. Please be accurate in your response to this question so that we are able to acquire sufficient inventory to cover our need at least one week before the first clinic session begins. Our equipment supply is limited so priority during equipment distribution will be given to those who register earliest.

If you don't request equipment during registration, and you appear during equipment distribution time, YOU MUST WAIT until all of the equipment has been issued to those who did respond to our request before we can accomodate you.

There are no discounts or reductions on equipment deposits. Please bring your checkbook to equipment distribution signout. Make checks payable to AYLC, Inc.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED for equipment deposits.

During the online registration process PLEASE use standard english language conventions when answering the questions on the form. Capitalize the first letter of all names, streets, etc. Please, DO NOT use all CAPS when entering field information. Also, using capital letters in email addresses is unnecessary and, at times, can cause problems. (Emails with capital letters are sometimes automatically sent to the "junk" or "spam" folder by a user's email program/system.) Your minimal effort here will save editing time on our part and help us produce better, more readable reports for our administrators. Thanks.

IMPORTANT! When you've completed the registration process ACTIVE.COM gives you the opportunity to print a "hard paper copy" of your Registration Confirmation. YOU MUST PRINT THIS RECEIPT and bring it, along with the Emergency Medical Treatment Form, to equipment distribution or to the first Fall Clinic session. No equipment will be distributed to those who do not have the printed copy of this Online Registration Receipt. This hard copy printout will help us determine a successful registration in case of difficulties or "bugs" in the process, which we've had in the past.

Click HERE to go to a sample page that will show you what to click on to print your receipt. (Note: This is a sample page only. Do not pay any attention to dates or session name on this page. The picture merely serves as an example of what to look for on the registration confirmation page.) This page will open in a new browser window so you'll have it available during the registration process.

IMPORTANT: If you did not turn in your Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment form and your Online Registration Confirmation Receipt from ACTIVE.COM during equipment distribution please REMEMBER to bring both of these forms to the first Fall Clinic session.

( Please don't use an Apple/MAC system to try and register. They can be problematic.)
