| ADJUSTING YOUR SPAM / JUNK MAIL / BULK MAIL FOLDER SETTINGS |
AYLC has experienced a certain level of "discrimination" in the past, in that many of the free email services treat or have treated email from our club, to our members, as being junk or spam mail or bulk mail. (Another term for junk mail.) I think we have a perfectly normal email address (which you can view on the Site News page) and don't understand why it is treated as spam. Nor is anyone offering a real explanation for as to why it is treated as spam. That said, there is some help provided below, and hopefully clear instructions to show you how to tell your email service that our mail IS NOT SPAM or JUNK or BULK MAIL. |
GMAIL If you have an youremail @gmail.com email address do as follows: Log in to your account as you normally would. Left-click on the folder labeled SPAM to open it. (Gmail treats all of AYLC's email as Spam mail until you tell it otherwise.) Then left-click to put a checkmark in the box to the left of the emails from AYLC Webmaster. Then click on the NOT SPAM Button at the top of the list. (Next to Delete Forever Button.) This action will move those those emails to the Inbox. Henceforth, all of our emails should go directly into your Inbox.
| HOTMAIL If you have an youremail @hotmail.com email address do as follows: Log in to your account as you normally would. Left-click on the folder labeled JUNK to open it. (Hotmail treats all of AYLC's email as JUNK mail until you tell it otherwise.) Then left-click to put a checkmark in the box to the left of the emails from AYLC Webmaster. Then click on the Not Junk Icon at the top of the list. (Next to Delete Icon.) This action will move those those emails to the Inbox. Henceforth, all of our emails should go directly into your Inbox.
| LIVE MAIL (NEWER HOTMAIL ADDRESSES.) Same as HOTMAIL.
| NETZERO I don't think that Netzero treats our email as spam, but in case it does on your machine, I think it can be controlled as follows: If you have an youremail @netzero.net OR youremail @netzero.com email address do as follows: Log in to your account as you normally would. Left-click on the folder labeled JUNK to open it. Then left-click to put a checkmark in the box to the left of the emails from AYLC Webmaster. Then click on the Move To Inbox button at the top of the list. (Next to Report as Junk button.) This action will move those those emails to the Inbox. Henceforth, all of our emails should go directly into your Inbox. ( I think this is accurate information. If it isn't send me an email at the address given on the AYLC Site News page and tell me the correct procedure.)
| YAHOO If you have an youremail @yahoo.com email address do as follows: Log in to your account as you normally would. Left-click on the folder labeled BULK to open it. (Yahoo treats all of AYLC's email as BULK mail until you tell it otherwise.) Then left-click to put a checkmark in the box to the left of the emails from AYLC Webmaster. Then click on the MOVE Button at the top of the list. (Next to Delete & Mark Buttons.) Then from the drop-down menu that appears, click on Inbox. This will move the emails to your Inbox. Henceforth, all of our emails should go directly into your Inbox. |
