AYLC - 2008 SPRING COMPETITIVE SEASON
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED !

There will be no more registrations accepted for any reason. No waiting lists are being created. If you did not get to sign up for the 2008 Spring Competitive Season please register earlier next year.

Meanwhile, look into our Summer Camps and our Fall Clinic.




AYLC uses an online registration process through a company called ACTIVE.COM. We no longer accept paper registrations.

Regular registration for the Spring Competitive Season closes at 12:00 P.M. (noon) EST, on Feb. 15th, 2008.

Though it is possible to register after Feb. 15th, all registrations received after 12:00 P.M. (noon) EST, February 15th, 2008 are assessed a $100.00 late registration fee.

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO REGISTER EARLY !!!



RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS.

The NVYLL rules , which govern Spring Competive Seasons, specify that a youth participant MUST be a resident of Virginia to play in the NVYLL.

Additionally, Arlington County regulations specify that a youth participant MUST be a resident of Arlington County to play with the Arlington Youth Lacrosse Club in Spring Competitive Seasons.

These stipulations do not apply to AYLC Fall Clinic or AYLC Summer Camps participants.




NVYLL - AGE CLASSIFICATIONS FOR YOUTH LACROSSE REGISTRATIONS.

THE AGE CLASSIFICATION DATES BELOW ARE APPLICABLE TO BOTH MALE AND FEMALE YOUTH LACROSSE REGISTRANTS.
   U09 - Born in 1999 or later.
   Age must be no more than 8 as of 12/31/2007.
  U11 - Born in 1997 and 1998
  Age must be no more than 10 as of 12/31/2007.
  U13 - Born in 1995 and 1996
  Age must be no more than 12 as of 12/31/2007.
  U15 - Born in 1993 and 1994
  Age must be no more than 14 as of 12/31/2007.
Players that are not yet 15, in the 9th grade, who have not played high school lacrosse are also eligible.




IMPORTANT - CLOSED GROUP ANNOUNCEMENTS !
Please check the list below for announcements about Closed Registration Groups before registering your youngster in a specific group. If you register your youngster in a closed group, without calling AYLC and receiving permission from the Club Commissioner, you will be charged an administrative fee of $100.00 when you apply for a refund because we cannot accept the player due to team roster limitations.

Even if AYLC manages to accept your youngster, you will still be charged the $100.00 fee. Take heed here and CHECK THE CLOSED GROUPS LIST BEFORE YOU REGISTER, AND CALL AYLC's CLUB COMMISSIONER BEFORE REGISTERING IN A CLOSED GROUP !!! The Club Commissioner can be reached at 703-524-4529. Leave a message. He will get back to you as quickly as he can.




LIST OF OPEN AND CLOSED REGISTRATION GROUPS
The list below represents the status of this year's AYLC Spring Competitive Season Registration Categories. If the group you wish to register a youngster in has the word OPEN in blue, it is safe to register the youngster in that group without incurring the $100.00 penalty. However, if, in that group section, the word CLOSED appears in red, you MUST call AYLC before registering in that CLOSED group or you will be assessed a $100.00 registration penalty.

( In future years, please register as early as possible to insure your placement on a team. )


If you wish to have your youngster's name added to a waiting list , send an email to us at the address listed on our Site News page. Specify the name of the youngster, what group applies, e.g. BU09, and contact info like emails and phone numbers. Someone will contact you about accepting your youngster or not. It might take some time before a decision is reached. Please be patient.

IMPORTANT ! Remember to call the AYLC Club Commissioner to obtain permission before registering in a Closed Registration Group!!!!! The Club Commissioner can be reached at 703-524-4529. Leave a message. He will get back to you as quickly as he can.

Please, comply with this simple request and call AYLC to get permission, before registering in a closed group. It will save you, and AYLC, unnecessary aggravation. The Club Commissioner is VERY busy during this registration period, so if you don't receive a return call promptly, DO NOT CONSTRUE THIS AS TACIT PERMISSION TO GO AHEAD AND REGISTER IN A CLOSED GROUP!!! Wait for his call.

Remember, if a group is closed that does NOT necessarily mean your youngster will not be able to play. When a group has to be closed, AYLC sometimes creates a waiting list based on earliest dates of registration for each closed group. We frequently have a few "dropouts" and cancellations for various reasons, so your youngster might still make a team. If we cannot accommodate you this season, please register early next year to insure placement on a team. Thank you.

REGARDING EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTION!


IMPORTANT - Please read, and become familiar with the AYLC Equipment Rental Policy Page which you can find HERE.

AYLC requires an accurate estimation of equipment needed to insure that its inventory is adequate to cover Spring Competitive Season demand. During the registration process we ask you to state what equipment you wish AYLC to provide for your youngster's participation. PLEASE answer this question accurately!

If you don't request equipment during registration, and you appear during distribution time, YOU MUST WAIT until all the equipment has been issued to those who responded before we can accommodate you.


IMPORTANT !!!

Our limited supply of loaner equipment will be distributed in order of registration date.


A list showing your place in line will be emailed to those who requested equipment before the first equipment distribution date.

Those who registered during the last week of registration might experience a "motley array" of equipment from which to be suited. Alternately, if we exhaust our supply, and you cannot or don't wish to buy equipment, your registration fee - minus the $25.00 online processing fee, will be refunded. MORAL: Register early as requested.

CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM AYLC

IMPORTANT - Everyone that signs up for participation in the Spring Competitive Season will be sent a welcoming email message sometime between March 1st and March 7th. This welcoming / confirmation message will be sent as close to March 1st as possible. Please pay careful attention to your mailbox during this period. Receipt of this email from AYLC will serve to confirm that you are included on our Spring Season email list. If you don't receive this welcoming message by March 7th, please call the LAX# 703-524-4529 and let us know right away. We will add you to the list.

The subject line of this email will be: Confirmation of inclusion on the AYLC Spring Season mailing list.




PARENT'S MEETING

Parents / guardians, especially those new to our club, are invited to an informational meeting held in early February. Their names are obtained from lists of :

  1. Early registrants.
  2. Participants from last season, Summer Camps and Fall Clinic; and
  3. Inquiries.
Notification is via mail and date and time will be posted on the AYLC Site News page.
