- ARLINGTON LACROSSE - YOUTH CHAMPIONS FOR 2009 SPRING SEASON
Congratulations to the coaches, team managers and players of two of the Arlington Youth Lacrosse Club boy's teams for winning the NVYLL 2009 Championship in their division. The two teams are the U13B and the U15B groups.

- TEAM PRACTICE LOCATION IS CHANGING THIS WEEKEND
Just a reminder to let you know that team practices are moving from Wakefield H.S. Stadium to Thomas Jefferson Community Center (lower field) this weekend Mar. 7th and 8th. Also next weekend Mar. 14th and 15th. Practice times remain the same.
Daylight savings time begins this weekend too.

- FINAL AYLC EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTION
The FINAL equipment distribution by AYLC will take place on Saturday, Feb. 21st, 2009 between the hours of 9:00 and 10:00 AM. If you need AYLC to provide equipment for your youngster, you MUST present your request, in person, at this time. Your youngster MUST be present for proper fitting.
Remember, the people handling equipment distribution are volunteers. This will be the THIRD equipment distribution day they have provided for you.
If, for any reason, you require equipment after the final distribution time, you will just have to buy it. There will be NO exceptions; if you need our equipment, then please be there at the appointed time.

- EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTION DAY
This Saturday, Feb. 7th, 2009 is the first equipment distribution day. Equipment will ONLY be distributed between the hours of 9:00 and 11:00 A.M. Please don't show up late and expect service. Your child must be present for proper fitting.
If you cannot attend this equipment distribution session, there will be ONE more equipment distribution day on Saturday, Feb. 14th, 2009, between the hours of 9:00 and 11:00 A.M.

- SUMMER CAMPS REGISTRATION AT THE ARLINGTON COUNTY SUMMER ACTIVITIES FAIR.
Please visit the Marymount-Arlington Youth Lacrosse Club booth at the Arlington County Summer Activities Fair on Friday, Feb. 20th, 2009 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A special discount of $25.00 off the regular registration price for Marymount - AYLC sponsored Summer Lacrosse Camps will be offered for the duration of the fair. This discount applies to girl's and boy's day or evening camps. The camps are open to 2nd through 8th graders.
Take advantage of this discount and insure your place in the summer camp of your choosing.

Plenty of brochures will be available at the fair.

- TITLE CHANGE
To avoid any further confusion, and to comply with NVYLL standards, AYLC has decided to change a title designation. In years past, AYLC referred to the people that managed the day-to-day affairs of our teams as Team Commissioners. From now on, they will be called Team Managers as they are on other NVYLL teams. This is a title change only. Their duties remain the same.

- AYLC / PIZZA HUT FUNDRAISING PROGRAM.
Pizza Hut has entered into an agreement with AYLC that is beneficial to both us and them. They are going to provide three (3) days out of each month, THROUGHOUT the year, (not just during the season) in which ANYONE associated with AYLC can help our club raise funds.
That includes your neighbors and friends too! Anyone you know can be an AYLC supporter by ordering their pizzas from Pizza Hut on three specific days each month. The following is a quote from the Pizza Hut Fundraiser Programs brochure.
"Use your members, friends and family to help publicize the event. After all, the more people that come, the more money your group will make." (This also applies to carry-out and delivery orders.)
Go to http://www.aylc.org/pizzahut1.htm and read all about this great fundraising program for AYLC. Don't forget to print out a "bunch" of tickets to keep handy for the delivery person, or to bring for carry-out orders or to a Pizza Hut dine-in restaurant.
Each month AYLC will send a reminder email specifying the days of the month that the offer is good. Please try to plan your family's lunch and dinner menus around those days.

Visit the new forums page and see what these new features can do for you. Look for |Forums| next to |Forms| in the menu heading at the top of each page.
NOTE: The only way to access our Forums page is via the links on our web site. Search Engines and FreeFind (our free site search tool) DO NOT index these pages. This is a minor security measure to deter spammer attacks.
