UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT
CARE GUIDE

If your equipment doesn't fit properly, or is damaged or coming apart, request an equipment change from your Team Manager or the AYLC Equipment Manager.

UNIFORM

Jersey, shorts and kilt:

Clean by machine washing with liquid detergent in cold water; line dry. We would greatly appreciate your doing this before returning uniforms at the end of the Spring Competitive Season.

EQUIPMENT:

Helmet and chin strap; goalie throat protector and shin guards:

Clean by hand washing inside and out with liquid detergent and rinsing with warm water; line dry.

Remove adhesive residue or paint from helmet shell exterior using mineral spirits, e.g., varsol or turpentine. Do not use abrasive cleaner. The Team Manager can help if necessary.

Repairs should be performed by the Team Manager or coach (they have the correct nuts, bolts, snaps and velcro).

Shoulder, arm and rib pads; gloves; and girls goalie girdles:

Clean by machine washing with liquid detergent in cold water; line dry.

Velcro closures:

If velcro stops working, try hand combing it with a large pin, small crochet hook or nut pick.

Goalie chest protector:

AYLC will maintain.

Goggles

Cleaning: Clean by hand washing with a small amount of mild soap solution and rinsing with warm water; line dry.

Replacement: Have the AYLC equipment manager change the padding when it becomes frayed or otherwise damaged.
