STEP 4: After 24 hours has passed, call Verizon (see instructions below) and ask about the status of your "whitelist" request. Call 800-567-6789 and say AGENT at each prompt, ignoring messages. This should get you to a human being. (Worked for me after a while.) You will have to tell the voice menu that you want tech support, over an email issue, and what Operating System you are using. You'll figure out at what point to supply this information. When you get to a person ask about the status of the whitelist request. Hopefully, if enough of us complain and harass them, they will remove the block and enable all of our Verizon members to receive our legitimate emails.
